What is the Online Selling Association?
The Online Selling Association (OSA) is a membership organization and website providing a place to learn about online business (e-commerce), explore related ideas, and share with other like-minded online business owners.
What benefits does membership in OSA provide for me?
Membership provides participation in an organization of significant business professionals and entrepreneurs, access to the full OSA website where you will find an extensive, and continually growing, database of important information which can help you build a more successful business, find sources of products, services, materials, tools, and other elements in support of your business, access to a guest experts blog where business professionals post from time to time, and to discussion forums where you can interact directly with other members.
What is the fee for membership?
There are three standard levels or packages available allowing you to join for a short (three month) trial period, pay for one full year of membership at a time, or purchase a life-time membership. The current rates for membership are:
- Three Month Trial: $27.97
- Annual Membership: $67.97
- Life-time Membership: $397.97
Can I have more than one membership?
No. Memberships are offered on a personal basis, one per person.
Can I join in my business name?
No. Memberships are for people, not businesses or corporations. Please create your OSA member account using your own personal name.
If I don't like it here, can I get a refund?
No. We offer a very affordable three month trial period so you can fully check us out. Since you will have full access to the entire website and all the current information during that period we cannot offer a refund after you have gained access to the site. You can, of course, cancel your membership at any time.
Will I get a refund if I cancel before my membership period expires?
No. The membership fee is for access to, and participation in, the site for the period of time specified or less.
Can I promote my business or product line on this site?
This site is about learning and sharing, not promoting your business, however we do allow you to put your business name (and link it to your selling site) in your forum signature, make open reference to your own business, product(s) or service(s) in relevant discussion in our forums, and we offer a searchable business directory where you may list your business information.
Is there a "profile" or "about me" page available for each seller on this site?
Not as a separate web page, however we do have a "tell us about your business" section in our forums where you can post your business information and do a little self promotion.
Can I link to off-site web pages providing information not otherwise available on this site?
Yes, you can. In the forums sections you can freely post links to other sites and services provided they are relevant to the topic of discussion in the thread and not just blatant advertising. This applies to your own sites as well. We know that is "self promotion" but we don't think there is anything wrong with that. After all, you are in business for yourself so it's only natural that you should be promoting yourself. We only ask that you keep your posts topical, friendly, and within common sense limits.
Can I provide content for this site?
Yes! You are encouraged to provide articles, opinions, book reviews or suggestions, and other written pieces, or website links or, if you don't write yourself, you can suggest materials and ideas that our regulars can explore and write about. This site is about the membership, for the membership, and by the membership. We would love to have you participate and/or contribute.
